DUNBRIDGE – Two people were hurt in a crash Friday at Dunbridge Road and Ohio 582.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 3:17 p.m. Angela McFarland, Chillicothe, was westbound
on Route 582 approaching Dunbridge Road when Kaylie Martinez, Custar, who was southbound on Dunbridge
Road approaching the stop sign, reportedly was unable to stop and struck McFarland’s vehicle. Martinez’s
vehicle came to rest against a pole.
Martinez said that her brakes malfunctioned.
She sustained incapacitating injuries and was taken to Wood County Hospital by Middleton Township EMS.
McFarland reported possible injuries, but was not transported from the scene.
Martinez was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign.
