Two crashes injure drivers

PERRYSBURG – Two people were taken to the hospital following separate accidents in the city Friday.
At 7:29 a.m. on Interstate 475 near the 1.8 milepost, Moira Franchetti, Toledo, was southbound in the
left lane when she lost control on the wet and icy roadway.
The vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a guardrail.
Franchetti sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was taken by Perrysburg EMS to the Mercy emergency
facility in the city.
She was cited for reasonable control.
At 12:14 p.m. at 842 W. South Boundary St., Joann Goetz, Genoa, was eastbound when a Fed Ex truck, driven
by Susan Munch, Northwood, pulled out from the address and struck Goetz’s vehicle.
Goetz reported possible injuries and was taken to the Mercy emergency facility by Perrysburg EMS.
Munch was cited for failure to yield right of way at a left turn.
