MILLBURY - Alcohol is believed to be a factor in an early morning crash today that injured two people on Ohio 51 near Bradner Road in Lake Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol reported.
Jason B. Hill, 32, of Bowling Green, was traveling northwest on Ohio 51 in a 2008 Ford Focus at 1:40 a.m. when his vehicle went left of center and struck a southeast-bound 1999 Hyundai Accent driven by Bobbi J. Neitling, 60, of Woodville.
Both vehicles rotated off the south side of the road and Hill's vehicle struck a traffic sign, the patrol said.
Neitling had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Lake Township Fire Department and was taken by Lake Township EMS to Bay Park Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Hill was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries. There were no other occupants in either vehicle.
The Ohio Investigative Unit and Lake Township Police Department also assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation with charges pending. Alcohol use contributed to the crash, the patrol reported.
