Tontogany native is Dayton fire captain PDF Print E-mail

Former Tontogany resident Barry Cron has been promoted to captain with the city of Dayton Fire Department. The promotion was announced Nov. 21.
He is the son of Arla Mae Crawford, Tontogany; the late Jack Crawford and the late Robert Cron.
A 1984 graduate of Otsego High School and 1989 graduate of Bowling Green State University, Cron volunteered with the Washington Township Fire Department in Tontogany until being hired by Prince William County, Va. Fire and Rescue in 1989.  He was hired by the Dayton Fire Department in 1992, promoted to the rank of lieutenant in 2001, and holds both paramedic and HazMat technician certification.  
He and is wife, Allison, live in Dayton with their children Anastacia, William and Sophia, who are 9-year-old triplets.
