Toledo man sentenced to 9 years for robbery with firearm specification

A Toledo man was sentenced to nine years in prison recently in Wood County Court of Common Pleas.
Jesse S. Bays, 27, Toledo, pleaded guilty to a single count of aggravated robbery with a firearm
specification.
Bays was arrested in Wayne County, Michigan, in May, 2013, days after a robbery reported in the 800 block
of South Main Street in Bowling Green. A resident reported that a man, later identified as Bays, robbed
him while in possession of a firearm.
The indictment alleged that Bays had a .45 caliber handgun with him at the time. He had also been
indicted on an additional count of aggravated robbery, which was dismissed.
Also recently sentenced to prison were:
• Justin Beair, 32, Pemberville, to an aggregate of 14 months for one count of trafficking and one count
of drug possession.
• Bryan Henderly, 39, Toledo, to an aggregate of nine months, for one count of breaking and entering and
one count of theft.
• Laura Kirchner, 19, Madison Heights, Michigan, to nine months on one count aggravated trafficking in
drugs.
• Andre Vidales, 51, to two years after a probation violation on a charge of engaging in a pattern of
corrupt activity.
• Nolan Weltner, 21, Butler, Pennsylvania, to two years for one count of possession of cocaine.
