Three women held after fight PDF Print E-mail

Three women were jailed Saturday morning by Bowling Green police following a fight at 2:30 at Kamikaze's, 163 E. Wooster St.
Latia Jamyra Ellison, 21, of Detroit, Candice R. Lowe, 27, of Sixth Street, and Nina L. Poole, 21, of Cleveland, were each charged with assault.
Ellison and Lowe, were each held on $10,000 bond; while Poole was held on $17,500 bond; she was also cited with resisting arrest.

Need to start tossing these people out of the University after they are convicted!

Impressive! An arrest is one thing but is there a prosecutor or judge in THIS town that will impose costs on these folks for their behavior. I'm not a gambler but I would be willing bet all three walk away clean.

Has the Sentinel recently or ever published an in depth story examining the impact of the university admissions/enrollment policy on crime in town? Alternatively, how many dollars does the university contribute to BGPD?

You are right the change in the admission policy @ BGSU with out a doubt does contribute to incidents like this. In all fairness fights have been happening for 30 plus years at the bars but with lower admission standards and accepting more big government subsidies for certain students and lower standards is a risky game. I think its clear the almighty dollar over community partnership will be the choice for the university.
