FOSTORIA – Three people have been arrested in connection with a burglary-homicide in Fostoria on
Wednesday.
Caleb Barto, 19, and Janelle Mauricio, 20, were allegedly assaulted at 218 E. Culbertson St. in the city
at about 11:30 p.m.
Mauricio later died of her injuries after being transported to a hospital by a private vehicle. Barto was
treated for unspecified injuries.
Arrested were Garrett Brown, 17; Tyson Ogg, 18; and Dallas Salaz, 19. Brown and Ogg face charges of
aggravated murder, aggravated burglary and felonious assault. Salaz was charged with complicity to
commit aggravated murder, aggravated burglary and felonious assault. A handgun was allegedly used during
the crimes.
An autopsy is planned to determine Mauricio’s cause of death.
