Three people were injured Saturday after a two-car collision that also damaged a house on the east side of the city.
Bowling Green Police report that at 2:21 p.m. Steven Mendieta, Bowling Green, was driving southbound on Elm Street when he failed to stop at the posted stop sign with Fifth Street and struck a westbound vehicle driven by Carlyn Campbell, Bowling Green.
Campbell's vehicle then ran off the road to the left and struck a residence at 622 Fifth St.
Mendieta, Campbell, and Campbell's passenger, Meghan Johannes, Bowling Green, all sustained non-incapacitating injuries and were taken to Wood County Hospital.
Bowling Green Fire/EMS and Mid-County 120 EMS responded to the scene.
Campbell reportedly had to be extracted from her vehicle by the Jaws of Life.
The residence received siding damage in the crash, and it also appeared that the vehicle struck the electrical and cable boxes that were outside of the house.
Mendieta was cited for traffic control device/stop sign.
