Courtney Thomson and Henry Apple were crowned as the 2013 Junior Fair Queen and King on Monday night in front of the grandstand of the Wood County Fair.
Both of them were very surprised to be selected.
“I was really shocked,” Apple said. “I didn’t think it could be me.”
Similarly Thomson said, “I really couldn’t believe I was the one chosen.”
Joining them on the royal court were Raegen Vickers and Logan Browne as first runners-up; Olivia Lause and Ross Bockbrader as second runners-up; with Brianna Hammond and Ben Wilhelm as the third runners-up.
Prior to the parade, Bernie Scott and the late Keith Bradley were inducted as the first members of the newly created Wood County Agricultural Hall of Fame.
