MILTON CENTER - Three people were taken to Wood County Hospital Sunday after a crash in which hundreds of gallons of driveway sealant were spilled southeast of the village.
The Bowling Green post of the Ohio Highway Patrol reports that at 12:17 p.m. a tanker truck carrying driveway sealant ran a stop sign at the intersection of Ohio 235 and Ohio 281 and was struck by a pickup truck.
The tanker then overturned as a result of the crash, and more than 500 gallons of the sealant spilled. Some of the chemical went into a nearby field. SEE MORE PHOTOS
The driver of the tanker, and the occupants of the pickup truck, one of them a child, were taken to the hospital by Weston EMS.
Their names were not available at press time.
The Ohio EPA was called to help with the clean-up at the site, and a detour was reportedly set up by ODOT.
