Calvin Dixson, 36, is wanted after allegedly shooting an ex-girlfriend and her mother while they were sitting in a vehicle on Bannister Street in Fostoria at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
Dixson may have fled to the Cleveland area or Perrysburg, where his mother is believed to reside, according to Fostoria Police Capt. Patrick Brooks.
Lisa Stowers, 50, was found dead at the scene, and her daughter, Tyeesha Ferguson, 37, was transported by air ambulance to Toledo Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, where she remains in critical condition, Brooks said.
Dixson left the area of the shooting on foot and later likely fled in an older model, green or gray Dodge pickup truck. There have been no confirmed sightings since the incident. Police believe a 9 mm handgun was used in the assault, and it has not been recovered.
Dixson recently threatened Ferguson and her family members and appears to have a “history of violent tendencies,” Brooks said. Ferguson had obtained a protection order against Dixson, though the reason for their estrangement was unknown, he said.
Brooks said the victims’ family members were advised to be cautious until Dixson is apprehended.
Anyone who believes they’ve seen Dixson should call 911 and not attempt to approach him.
