Students seek spelling title

The 2014 Wood County Spelling Bee will be held Saturday in Bowling Green.
The competition will start at 9 a.m. at the Wood County Educational Service Center, 1867 N. Research
Drive. The ESC is sponsoring the event.
Twenty students will compete, with six going on to the championship bee set for March 8 at Owens
Community College.
The students competing, and their school, are:
• Alyssa Hoodlebrink, Eastwood Middle School.
• Reno Loera, Rossford Junior High School.
• Genevieve Thomas, Woodland Elementary School.
• Devin McKee, Otsego Junior High School.
• Joel Gollehon, Lake Middle School.
• Tesla Bias, Eagle Point Elementary School.
• Jesse He, Bowling Green Middle School.
• Braden Miller, Glenwood Elementary School.
• Elijah Gladden, St. Aloysius Catholic School.
• Carolyn Schutte, Indian Hills Elementary School.
• Ellie Kregel, Otsego Junior High School.
• Olivia Strang, Bowling Green Middle School.
• Isabella Garza, Indian Hills Elementary School.
• Tatum Houtz, Eastwood Middle School.
• Marie Findley, Eagle Point Elementary School.
• Carlin Pendell, St. Aloysius Catholic School.
• Allison Pisula, Woodland Elementary School.
• Karis Cherko, Rossford Junior High School.
• Megan Momany, Lake Middle School.
• Adrienne Oney, Glenwood Elementary School.
The word pronouncer will be Jeff Smith, co-anchor of WTVG News Channel 13 ABC.
Judges will be Jessica Blakely, of Bowling Green Care Center, and Kyle Kanuckel, ESC superintendent.
Coordinating the event is Aaron Bailey, of Lake Local Schools.
