Stelle named to WSOS board PDF Print E-mail

Charles Stelle, of Bowling Green, was elected in August to represent Wood County on the Board of Directors of WSOS Community Action Commission, Inc.
He was elected to fill the unexpired term of Cindy Dart, who resigned earlier this year.
Stelle is an associate professor in the gerontology program at Bowling Green State University and his term expires December 2014.
The public elects one community person to represent the county on the WSOS Board of Directors each year. The election is usually in late October or early November.
Other members of the board representing Wood County include Mel Browning of Perrysburg who is the chairperson of the board; Dean King of Bowling Green, Carmen Beltran of Bowling Green, Paul Smith of Perrysburg, and Al Fosnaugh of Fostoria. Beltran's term expires in December, so a meeting to elect someone to that position will be conducted later this year.
The WSOS Board of Directors is made up of six representatives from each of its four main counties of service, making it a total of 24 board members. Each board member serves on one or two of the board's committees, which include the executive, personnel, development, and finance committees. The board meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in Fremont except in July, August, and December.
