The Sentinel-Tribune has changed the way users of its website (www.sent-trib.com) can post comments on
stories.
An area to make a comment will continue to be found at the bottom of many articles and all obituaries,
letters to the editor and editorials.
Once a comment has been written, the writer will have to click on a box to the right to log into their
Facebook, Yahoo, Hotmail or AOL account to post the comment.
The change helps the Sentinel-Tribune make better use of social media and encourage those who comment to
take ownership of their views.
Many newspapers have switched to this approach in an effort to encourage civility and improve the
discussion.
Comments posted to the website before the change will no longer be available for viewing.
