Search Warrant Executed at BG Daycare

A search warrant was served at a Bowling Green daycare Wednesday in the wake of earlier reports that a
registered sex offender was assisting there.
Maj. Tony Hetrick of the Bowling Green Police Division confirmed the search warrant was served at
Corrine’s Creative Daycare/Preschool, 303 N. Maple St., as part of the ongoing investigation into that
case. He could not provide additional details regarding the warrant.
Justin Guck, 29, Weston, was arrested May 2 after he reportedly violated his parole. BG Police assisted
the Wood County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio Adult Parole Authority in the matter.
Guck had allegedly been assisting at the site in an effort to offset the costs of daycare for his
daughter, who attended there. Guck’s girlfriend reportedly worked at Corrine’s as well.
Guck was classified as a Tier II sex offender after pleading guilty in 2008 to one count of unlawful
sexual contact with a minor. He was later sent to prison in the case after a subsequent probation
violation.
He remains incarcerated in the Wood County Justice Center, and is currently under indictment in a 2013
burglary and theft of drugs case.
Wood County Job and Family Services is additionally involved in the matter.
JFS Director David Wigent said Thursday, citing state privacy laws, that he could not provide details
into the agency’s involvement, but said that JFS “opened an investigation and are assisting law
enforcement.”
He said that the agency cooperates with law enforcement investigations when there is the potential of a
crime against children.
Hetrick said that, thus far, their investigation has found no indication that any harm was done to
children at the daycare.
“The administration of the daycare is being looked at to see if there was any chance there was an
endangering situation,” he said.
