ROSSFORD – Police have identified a Toledo man wanted in a recent robbery of a Rite Aid store in the
city.
In a Twitter post today, Rossford Police noted they are looking for Rupert Rudy Nave, 55, Toledo, on
charges of robbery and theft in the Dec. 29 incident at the store in the 800 block of Dixie Highway.
Nave is believed to have taken liquor from the store in the incident, in which a female clerk was knocked
to the ground.
"That’s what makes it a robbery," explained Rossford Police Chief Glen Goss, noting that the
use of force in a theft designates it as a robbery.
Goss said that Nave has a history of theft charges, and that the Rite Aid incident was linked back to a
Nov., 2012, case regarding an incident at Cork’s Wine and Fine Liquors on Crossways Parkway in the city.
