ROSSFORD – The city’s finance director Karen Freeman has been given the top award from the state
auditor’s office for the fourth year in a row.
The presentation of the award of distinction for the city’s audit was made at Monday’s meeting.
The award is given when an audit has no findings or deficiencies. Only 3 percent of entities audited by
the state are honoed.
"You do a fantastic job," Council President Larry Oberdorf told Freeman .
He said that Freeman and City Administration Ed Ciecka "deserve a great deal of credit for the
financial condition we’re in."
