TOLEDO – A restraining order has been granted to keep the husband of a deceased Bowling Green woman who died suspiciously from selling her possessions.
Dawn Glanz, a former teacher and administrator at Bowling Green State University, died May 9 at her residence, in the 1000 block of Kensington Boulevard. However, her death has been labeled suspicious by Bowling Green Police, who continue to investigate the incident.
According to a complaint filed Friday, Glanz, 66, was found dead in the bathroom of their residence by her husband, Robert Brown.
Brown reported that she had suffered a stroke.
However, “injuries found during a preliminary examination of her body suggested the cause of death may have been from unnatural causes.”
The results of an autopsy are pending.
Brown reportedly scheduled an estate sale, advertising “high-end antique items,” which was to take place Saturday.
Glanz’s sister, Gail Lincoln, of Ketchum, Idaho, sought a restraining order against the sale, and also sought damages amounting to $275,000 against Brown for emotional distress.
In an order granting the temporary restraining order, U.S. District Court Judge James G. Carr wrote that “the estate sale referenced in the complaint and any other action relating to a sale, transaction, transfer, or other dissipation of the assets of the estate (of Glanz)... are here by restrained temporarily pending further hearing and further order of the court.”
