Prostitution stings net 20 arrests PDF Print E-mail

More than 20 people were arrested during prostitution stings operated by the Wood County Sheriffs' Office during July and August.
The busts were conducted in conjunction with the Rossford, Northwood, and Perrysburg Township police departments, as well as the Ohio Attorney General's Office.
Arrested during an undercover investigation held July 2 in Rossford were Jason Hartman, 37, Findlay; Channon Mallard, 23, Southfield, Mich.; Randy Steedman, 47, Rossford; Troy V. Smith, 51, Sylvania; and Charles Martin Jr., 54, Tasha R., Walter, 35, Chanice S. Burkes, 23, Betty Slinker, 37, and Shirley Speelman, 31, all of Toledo.
Speelman and Burkes were charged with complicity to solicitation prostitution, while the rest were charged with solicitation prostitution. The offenses are third-degree misdemeanors and the cases are pending through Perrysburg Municipal Court.
Arrested during an undercover operation on July 31 in Northwood were Vincent Sample, 26, Toledo; Ronak Patel, 27, Elmhurst, N.Y.; Joseph Beehner, 19, Maumee; Nathan Ball, 22, Bellevue; and Joshua Morrin, 24, Whitehouse. Each was charged with solicitation. The cases are pending through Northwood Mayor's Court.
Arrested during an undercover operation on Aug. 19 in Rossford were Rodney Metzger, 55, Monroe, Mich.; Tarek Abou-Madkour, 43, Holland; Shawn Allen, 37, Toledo; Douglas Long, 68, Clayton, Mich.; Otto Schug, 44, Columbus, Ind.; Peter Schaal, 41, Holland; and Ronald Stewart, 43, Bryan. Each was charged with solicitation. The cases are pending through Perrysburg Municipal Court.
