Bowling Green Police Division, in anticipation of hiring police patrolman in 2013, has scheduled two additional practice sessions for potential candidates to evaluate their ability to complete the physical agility screening course. The screening is tentatively scheduled Sept. 15; however, there is no guarantee that an examination will be scheduled or administered in 2012 or 2013. Practice sessions are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Aug. 25 and Sept. 8 at the screening site immediately north of Poe Road between North College Drive and Tarragon Drive. Interested candidates will be afforded the opportunity to practice completing the physical agility screening course on a first-come, first-served basis. Candidates will be required to sign a release prior to participating in a practice session. There are numerous requirements such as age, education, vision, physical condition, a written test and a psychological evaluation for a person to be considered for employment. There is also a requirement for a complete background investigation. Post-offer of employment candidates must complete and pass a medical examination, psychological examination, and a drug screening. Visit the city's website at www.bgohio.org/departments/personnel-department/employment-opportunities for updates on jobs that may be posted. |
