Bowling Green's downtown Farmers' Market is celebrating four legged friends this week at the market with the 3rd annual Pooch Parade, and music by Kitty Glitter.
Well behaved dogs are always welcome at the market and this week all canine friends are invited to strut their stuff in preparation for the annual Wood County Humane Society Mutt Strut fundraiser later this month.
The humane society will be on hand with adoptable dogs and information about the Mutt Strut. Downtown Bowling Green is partnering with Bella Cuisine to offer tasty, home made dog bones to all participants in the Pooch Parade. Those in attendance at 6 p.m. will be eligible for additional prizes.
Local band Kitty Glitter will perform from 6 to 8 with "some new covers, some new originals, all the same sass."
The Downtown BG tent will have a limited supply of hats and T-shirts featuring the Black Swamp Arts Festival's signature salamander logo.
The market season will run on Wednesdays from 4 to 8 p.m. through Oct. 16 at 201 S. Main St.
