The Perrysburg Township public safety departments will host events on Saturday.
This year the annual Perrysburg Township Fire/EMS open house will take place in conjunction with a bike safety event sponsored by the police department.
The open house will kick off Fire Prevention Week (FPW); this year's message is "Prevent Kitchen Fires." The open house will include tours of Station 1, all the apparatus inside, as well as various opportunities to learn the latest information on fire safety to keep you and your family safe.
The bike safety event will help kick-off the revamped police department bike patrol and will include helmet checks and bike safety demonstrations.
Further, there will be a limited amount of new bike helmets available.
Finally, the SWAT unit's truck and equipment as well as a police vehicle will be on hand for photo opportunities.
