Perrysburg Twp. officers disciplined

LIME CITY — One Perrysburg Township police officer was fired and two others reassigned, one of them
demoted, following separate, unspecified disciplinary problems.
The name of a patrol officer who was fired following a hearing June 10 hasn’t been released pending an
appeal hearing set for July 31, said Deputy Chief Mike Gilmore, who also declined to say why the officer
was fired.
Gilmore said that information would not be available until after an arbitrator rules on the appeal, which
is to be done within the 45 days following the hearing.
Separately, Jim Gross and Scott Moskowitz were reassigned to patrol, with Gross having served as a
sergeant and Moskowitz previously working as a detective.
Gilmore said the changes are related to incidents of insubordination and disobeying directives sometime
between April and May.
Moskowitz’s disciplinary measure was the lowest level available while Gross’ was one step higher,
Gillmore said.
