LIME CITY - Two men were arrested in Michigan Friday after leading Perrysburg Township officers on a high-speed chase.
The chase began after an employee at Best Buy, on U.S. 20, reported the theft of a computer from the store at 11:49 a.m. The store security officer got a description of the vehicle with a Michigan license plate used by the suspects. Perrysburg Township officers located the car on Route 20 near Interstate 75, according to Perrysburg Township Police Sgt. Monica Gottfried.
When the officers tried to initiate a traffic stop, the vehicle sped off, she said.
Two township police vehicles pursued the car northbound on I-75. Gottfried said this morning that she did not know the top speed reached in the chase.
Township officers ended their pursuit short of the Michigan state line, where Monroe County officers took over and  have two men in custody this morning, though Gottfried did not have their names.
The two are being charged with felony theft and felony fleeing and eluding.
