Perrysburg man uninjured in crash that killed driver who ran stop sign PDF Print E-mail

A Perrysburg man was uninjured in a crash that took the life of a Delta woman Tuesday in Fulton County.
The crash occurred on County Road D at County Road 3, just north of the Maumee State Forest.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at 8:42 a.m. Mark E. Nissen, 44, Perrysburg, was operating a 2008 Sterling truck, owned by the Ohio Department of Transportation, westbound on County Road D.
At that time, Melissa S. Clinard, 34, Delta, was southbound on County Road 3 when she failed to stop for the stop sign at County Road D and was struck by Nissen’s vehicle in the driver’s side.
Clinard was pronounced dead at the scene by the Fulton County Coroner. She was wearing a seat belt.
Nissen was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
