The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol is seeking an unknown person involved in an injury crash that occurred just over the Henry County line on Sunday.
The crash took place around 2:40 a.m. at the intersection of County Road A and County Road 2.
At that time, Amy Bajarano, Hamler, driving a 1994 Mazda 626, was northbound on County Road 2 when a 1996 Honda Civic driven by an unknown driver westbound on County Road A failed to stop at the stop sign for the intersection and struck Bajarano's vehicle.
Bajarano then drove off the northwest side of the intersection and overturned in a ditch.
She was not wearing her seat belt, and was trapped in the vehicle for an extended period of time. Bajarano was taken by Promedica Air to Toledo Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.
Her passenger, Lupe Elacio, Deshler, was wearing his seat belt and was not injured.
The driver of the Honda Civic fled on foot.
Alcohol use is suspected for both drivers in the crash, and the incident remains under investigation.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information regarding the identity of the driver that fled the scene is asked to contact the Bowling Green Patrol Post at (419) 352-2481.
