Park district offers plant history, nursery wrap-up PDF Print E-mail

Register for the following Wood County Park District programs at www.wcparks.org or by calling 419-353-1897:
•    Native Plants: The History You May Not Know, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Reuthinger Preserve in Northwood - Learn how early settlers used native plants. This will be an interactive program.
•    Native Nursery Night Wrap Up volunteer opportunity, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Reuthinger Preserve - Come for the last Thursday night of the year at the Native Plant Nursery and Greenhouse. Plan on collecting seeds, then having a treat to celebrate the season. Dress to work outdoors, and bring gloves.
•    Be Prepared, 10 to 11 a.m. Nov. 9, Cedar Creeks Preserve open shelter - How are plants and animals getting ready for shorter days and cooler weather? Find out what animals in the parks do to survive and take a walk looking for survival strategies.
