Owens provost finalist for New Mexico post

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) — Educators from New Mexico, Ohio and
Texas are finalists to be hired as the next president of a community
college serving parts of southern New Mexico.
The finalists under
consideration by the Las Cruces-based Dona Ana Community College include
Andrew Burke. He is the college’s vice president for business and
finance and is currently its interim vice president.
The other two
finalists are Renay Scott, provost at Owens Community College in
Toledo, Ohio, and Lydia Tena, Northwest Campus Dean at El Paso Community
College in Texas.
The three were selected from among 27 applicants.
An appointment of the new president is expected by late March.
