Tom Keith, regional executive director of Otterbein Portage Valley, Pemberville, has announced Otterbein Portage Valley has been awarded the 5 STAR Quality Rating by the United States government.
Nursing Home Compare provides quality ratings to each of the nation's 16,000 Medicare and/or Medicaid-certified homes. Each facility is rated from a low (1Star) to the highest (5 Stars) based on three critical areas: health inspection results, quality measures and staffing levels. The quality rating system was created to help consumers, their families and caregivers compare nursing homes easily. Nursing homes vary in the quality of care and services they provide and this quality rating system provides an overview of the individual care their loved one will receive.
Keith congratulated all the staff at Otterbein Portage Valley on the accomplishment and considers the 5 Star Rating true validation of the standard of excellence in quality and specialized care given to every patient and resident at Otterbein Portage Valley.
