The Ohio State Highway Patrol along with the Bowling Green Police Division and the Wood County Sheriff's Office will hold an OVI checkpoint this evening from 11 p.m. until 2:30 a.m. on Ohio 105 (Wooster Street).
The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
The checkpoint will also be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat alcohol-related injury and fatal crashes.
Those planning to consume alcohol are being told to designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before they drink.
