One person was taken to Wood County Hospital after a crash on U.S. 6 south of the city Tuesday morning.
The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that at 7:07 a.m. William Wildman, Custar, was driving westbound on Route 6 at the entrance ramp to Interstate 75 when Melinda Riepenhoff, Leipsic, driving eastbound, failed to yield the right of way as she attempted to turn left onto I-75.
Riepenhoff was then struck by Wildman's vehicle.
After impact, Wildman's vehicle drove off the right side of the road and came to rest.
Wildman sustained incapacitating injuries and was taken to the hospital by Mid-County EMS. He was treated and released.
Riepenhoff had possible injuries, but was not taken to a hospital. She was cited for right of way when turning left.
Route 6 westbound was reportedly closed down for a period following the accident.
