The checkpoint was conducted by Northwood Police in conjunction with the Lucas County DUI Task Force in the 2500 block of Woodville Road from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. During the operation, 489 vehicles came through the checkpoint, and 35 were diverted for further investigation.
Of those 35, there were no arrests for operating a vehicle while under the influence.
In total, four citations were issued during the operation, including one for expired plates; one for no operator's license; and two for no seat belt.
