A new non-medical in-home care provider service has opened up a location in downtown Bowling Green to serve Wood County residents.
Caretakers Home Care Services is now open at 312 N. Main St. The branch is managed by Linette Carver, of North Baltimore, and Eric Franks, assistant branch manager, from Cygnet.
The mission of the company is to help seniors and other individuals who need help with daily living maintain their independence in the comfort of their own home.
“They worked so hard for everything they have,” Franks said. “We are trying to help them keep that and enjoy it for as long as possible.”
The Bowling Green location is the sixth branch of the company, which first established itself in Carmel, Ind. in 1988. The company also has locations in Fremont, Findlay, Upper Sandusky and Kenton.
“We are new to the area, but not to the industry,” Carver said.
Caretakers offers a variety of services including: personal service attendance, incontinence and toilet assistance, mobility assistance, medication monitoring, bathing, grooming, dressing, companion care, conversation and fellowship, reading assistance, cooking and meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, ironing, errands, shopping, trash removal, transportation, morning wake-up and evening tuck-in assistance, appointment reminders, pet care and other services.
“If a client needs a ride to a doctor’s appointment, physical therapy or the store, we are there to accommodate their needs,” Carver said.
Caretakers can cater a care plan anywhere from 1 hour to 24 hours a day and there are no contracts, “which allows our clients to adjust our services to fit their needs,” Carver said.
“They can use us as much or as little as they need,” she said.
