Bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in 1999. He is a member of the City of Bowling Green’s Civil
Service Commission, treasurer of the Wood County Democratic Party’s Executive and Central Committees,
and a member of the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors and BGSU’s Student Affairs

In announcing his candidacy, Newlove stated, "My experience running a small business through one of
the most difficult economic conditions in the past 100 years gives me a unique perspective which will
benefit our county. I have helped our company continue to grow and be successful, while also keeping
costs in check during these difficult times."
Newlove has served in the past as trustee for the Bowling Green Community Foundation, Montessori School
of Bowling Green, and the Bowling Green Housing Agency. He served as president of the Wood County Board

children William, 5, Caroline, 3, and Benjamin, 1.
Newlove believes the county is at a critical moment in time with regard to the relationships between
government and private sector businesses. "It is important to attract and retain businesses who see
Wood County as their permanent home. I have promoted this area to individuals and businesses for 15
years in my real estate business. I look forward to continuing to do so as a Wood County
Commissioner."
