WESTON – A missing 15-year-old village female was found safe and brought back to Wood County Thursday.
The Wood County Sheriff’s office said Tuesday that Maria Ayala was found Thursday night in Toledo. She was subsequently taken to the juvenile detention center, and later released.
Ayala had not been seen since 11 p.m. on July 3, and was entered into the National Crime Information Center database as missing.
Ayala reportedly had left with her boyfriend, a 17-year-old male who was charged by Toledo Police with obstruction in relation to the incident.
