CYGNET - The Wood County Sheriff's Office has released additional details of a Friday morning armed robbery in the village.
Around 7 a.m. on Friday, a Courier delivery man said he was robbed at gunpoint while delivering newspapers in the village. The incident happened behind a business in the 300 block of Front Street.
The delivery person said he was locking a delivery box when two males approached and pointed a handgun at him. One of the suspects restrained him and continued to point the handgun at him while the other suspect entered the Courier delivery vehicle and stole money that had been collected from newspaper sales racks.
The suspects then fled on foot. No vehicle was involved and there were no injuries, the sheriff's office reported.
The suspects were described as white males, dressed in black clothing and stocking masks.
Anyone with information should call the sheriff's office at (419) 354-9089.
