LIME CITY - The man injured in a Wednesday night shooting in Perrysburg Township is now facing charges of his own.
Alec Castillo, 19, Perrysburg, was released from Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, where he was taken after being shot twice in Perrysburg Heights, and subsequently arrested on an active warrant, said Perrysburg Township Deputy Police Chief Mike Gilmore.
Castillo was listed as being held in the Wood County jail on a failure to appear warrant related to a prior domestic violence case, and a probation violation. He is scheduled to appear in court today.
Gilmore also indicated that Richard Owens Jr., 47, and Damien Owens, 20, both of Perrysburg, are being considered as suspects in the shooting, which is being investigated as a felonious assault.
The pair were arrested Wednesday for obstructing official business. They were not listed as inmates at the Wood County jail this morning.
Gilmore further indicated that a .22 caliber handgun and an ammunition magazine believed to have been used in the incident were found by the township police's canine unit in area of Lincoln Street and Ohio 25.
"We're waiting for some forensic tests to come back," said Gilmore.
The shooting was reported at around 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Castillo was found near Gloria and Broad streets. Two vehicles, neither of which belonged to Castillo, were also towed as part of the ongoing  investigation.
