A Findlay man will spend two years in custody and was ordered to forfeit his weapons after pleading guilty to failure to comply. Matthew Fox, age 22, was convicted of the charge after he pleaded guilty in the case. A specification and a second charge was dropped per a plea agreement. Wood County Common Pleas Court Judge Alan Mayberry ordered the two-year sentence to be served consecutive to a sentence out of Hancock County. Per the judge's orders Fox must forfeit a Glock 22, 40-caliber handgun and an AK-47, 7.62mm rifle to the Bowling Green Police Department for sale, use or destruction. The judge also ordered a driver's license suspension of four years. A Cleveland man, Bernard Rice, age 36, was ordered to spend 17 months in prison for his assault conviction regarding an Oct.1, 2011 incident with a Northwood Police officer. Judge Robert Pollex ordered the sentence along with an 11 month sentence for possession of drugs to be served concurrently. Others recently ordered to prison include: • Cherilyn Stenson, 39, of Toledo, 22 months in prison, 11 months each for two counts of theft, to be served consecutively. A third similar count and a count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity were dismissed. (Polles) • Amber Vandercook, 29, of Perrysburg, 18 months in prison for tampering with evidence.
