A Toledo man was charged with theft and briefly hospitalized after he reportedly stole – and ingested –
an entire bottle of Robitussin at a store Saturday.
Bowling Green Police report that at 4:22 p.m. Saturday, Adam Roach, 22, Toledo, shoplifted a bottle of
Robitussin from Wal-Mart on Gypsy Lane Road.
He then reportedly downed the contents of the bottle – 22 pills – just outside.
An officer reported Roach appeared to have been intoxicated prior to the incident.
Roach was taken to Wood County Hospital for treatment, and subsequently released back into police custody
and taken to jail.
He was charged with theft, abusing harmful intoxicants, and criminal damaging.
