A 19-year-old Bowling Green man was indicted by a Wood County grand jury on May 15 with three felony offenses related to child pornography.
Christian Thomas Provencio was charged with two counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, and a third count of attempted similar illegal use of a minor.
The first count alleges Provencio photographed a minor child on or about Dec. 10, 2012. The second count involves his possession or viewing material or performance of a minor on the same date. The attempted charge alleges the defendant attempted to photograph a minor on or about Jan. 5.
The first count is a second-degree felony, punishable for up to eight years in prison; the attempted charge is a third-degree offense which could result in up to three years in prison. The second count is a lesser fifth-degree felony.
Earlier this year, he was indicted for theft in regard to a 2011 pick-up truck.
Provencio has pleaded not guilty to that charge. He is scheduled for a pre-trial conference in the theft case on June 10 at 9 a.m. His cases are being heard before Judge Reeve Kelsey.
