A Waterville man was arrested on a series of charges after he reportedly threw a woman into a van at the Meijer Gas Station on East Wooster Street Saturday.

Bowling Green Police report that at approximately 9:15 a.m., the gas station called to report that a male subject picked up a female and threw her into a van at the business.

The woman reportedly exited the vehicle through a door on the other side, and the male then left west on Wooster.

Police stopped the van on East Wooster Street at the I-75 overpass.

Arrested was the driver, Troy Mendoza, 35, Waterville, for unlawful restraint, criminal mischief to property, and no child restraint.

He is being held in the Wood County Jail on $11,500 bond and was to appear in court today.

Mendoza had reportedly had a prior relationship with the woman involved in the incident.
