A city man was arrested on a menacing charge after a woman claimed he approached her with a gun on South Wintergarden Road Tuesday.
Bowling Green Police responded to the incident in the 800 block of South Wintergarden at 2:20 p.m.
According to Maj. Tony Hetrick of the BG Police, a woman reported that she had been in a verbal altercation with Clyde Milligan, 54, of South Wintergarden Road, when he came at her with a handgun.
Police blocked off the road and made contact with Milligan, who exited the residence without incident.
A search of the residence turned up two air pistols and no firearms.
Milligan was arrested for aggravated menacing and taken to jail.
He was still held in the jail on $10,000 bond this morning, and was expected to make a court appearance today.
