Thrift store offers sale
NORTH BALTIMORE – The St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store is offering a 50-percent off storewide clearance
sale today through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Custar Road closed
Custar Road between Hammondsburg and Cygnet roads is closed for road work.
The road is expected to stay closed for about a week.
Thefts reported in Perrysburg
PERRYSBURG – A number of theft incidents have been reported in the city in recent days.
On Friday, police were called to incidents in the 400 block of Blue Jacket Road, the 10000 block of
Fremont Pike, the 9000 block of Bishopswood Lane, the 13000 block of Roachton Road, the sub-100 block of
Maple Street, the 2000 block of Old Trail Road, and the 25000 block of North Dixie Highway.
A further theft was reported Sunday in the sub-100 block of Michael Owens Way Boulevard, and two more
were reported Monday in the 600 and 700 blocks of Indian Wells Lane.
Perrysburg Deputy Police Chief Jim Rose said this morning that such incidents aren’t unusual for this
time of year, and often coincide with school letting out.
"I don’t think we’re outside the norm" he said.
Area woman hurt in crash
ARCADIA – A Fostoria resident was injured Tuesday in a crash in the Hancock County village, located
southwest of Fostoria.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 3:49 p.m. Morgan Roberts, Fostoria, had slowed for
traffic on East Fremont Street, near Joslyn Street, in the village, when she was struck from behind by a
vehicle driven by Amanda Zelenak, Fostoria.
Roberts was treated for unknown injuries at the scene by Hanco EMS.
Zelenak was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
