BG's Hallmark store is closing
Gen's Hallmark at 840 S. Main St., Bowling Green, has posted signs that the store is closing.
The firm is also closing its store in Perrysburg in the shops at River Place and in other Northwest Ohio locations.
The store is offering closeout specials and as of Thursday is no longer accepting checks, according to signs in the doors.
Other Gen's stores in Findlay, Norwalk and Toledo have closed in recent years.

Luckey streets closed for Summerfest
LUCKEY - Main Street will be closed all day Saturday during the Luckey Summerfest. The street will be closed from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Wood workers meet Tuesday
The Northwest Ohio Wood Workers Guild will meet Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the College of Technology Building at Bowling Green State University. Parking is in Lot R on the north side of East Merry Street.
Larry Hatch will talk about taking an original project from inception to completion.

Elmwood board meets today
JERRY CITY - The Elmwood Board of Education will meet today in executive session to discuss superintendent candidates. No action is planned.
The meeting is set for 3:30 p.m. in the board conference room.

ODNR offers free inspections
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Watercraft will provide free boat safety equipment inspections on Sunday at the Mary Jane Thurston State Park boat ramp, from 3 to 4 p.m., and on Monday at the Maple Street ramp in Perrysburg from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
