Missing juveniles found, detained
Several Wood County children reported missing over the weekend have been located and charged with being
unruly juveniles.
“Essentially they’re all runaways, is what they were,” said Lt. Rod Konrad of the Wood County Sheriff’s
Office this morning.
One male and one female, both 16 years of age, from Troy Township, were reported missing and eventually
located without incident in Rossford. The pair are reportedly in a relationship and ran off to be
together, said Konrad.
In a separate incident, a 12-year-old boy from Troy Township who reportedly left home after unhappiness
over a punishment he received was located in Bowling Green.
Pemberville Police also reportedly located a fourth teenage female who had additionally been reported
missing. She was later found in Lake Township, and is also reportedly being charged. Additional
information on that incident was not immediately available this morning.
All of the children were reportedly taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
The sheriff’s office could not release the names of the juveniles because they have been charged in the
incidents, though the names had been made publicly available previously.
