Kitchen fire damages Rossford home
ROSSFORD – A kitchen fire caused tens of thousands of dollars in damages to a home on Riverview Place
Sunday.
The Rossford Fire Department reports they were informed of the blaze, at 107 Riverview Place, around 8:20
a.m.
The incident was called in as a kitchen fire. Upon arriving on the scene, firefighters observed the
kitchen was already well-involved in flames. The crews made an aggressive attack and knocked down the
fire, according to a press release from Fire Chief James Verbosky.
The home sustained major damage, estimated at $90,000. There were no injuries reported.
Rossford received automatic aid from Perrysburg Township, Northwood, and Perrysburg City fire crews.
30 vehicles towed, cited in BG Sunday
City police either towed or cited 30 vehicles Sunday after a Snow Emergency was declared for the city.

All told, 19 vehicles were ticketed and 11 were towed.
The Snow Emergency was declared before 9 a.m. and was called off at 4 p.m.
Taxicab board meets Tuesday
Bowling Green’s Taxicab Board of Review will meet in the Third Floor Conference Room at 304 N. Church St.
Tuesday at 9 a.m. to discuss a taxi driver applicants.
Man hurt during bar fight in BG
A man was reportedly injured after falling during a fight at a downtown bar early Sunday.
Bowling Green Police were called to Liquid, 238 N. Main St., at 2:20 a.m.
The 21-year-old man had reportedly been involved in an altercation on the dance floor at the scene, and
had fallen, striking his head on a beer bottle that was on the ground.
"He might have been punched, but we’re still looking into that," said BG Police Maj. Tony
Hetrick.
Hetrick indicated the man appeared dazed, and had a gash on his head. Paramedics were called to treat
him.
The incident is still under investigation, and no arrest has yet been made.
