Genealogical Society meets
The Wood County Chapter of Ohio Genealogical Society will meet Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Atrium of the
Wood County Office Building for a short business meeting. The public is welcome.
At 1:30 the group will proceed to the Wood County Recorder’s Office.
Julie Baumgardner, Wood County Recorder, will share information on how to find and interpret property,
mortgage and other records located in the Recorder’s Office.
Gun reported stolen in BG
Theft of a gun from a vehicle was reported Saturday in the city.
Bowling Green Police report that the firearm – a 9mm Ruger handgun – was taken from the center console of
the vehicle in the 900 block of Wilson Drive.
The weapon was last seen Dec. 27. The vehicle had reportedly been kept in a locked garage.
Police are investigating the incident.
Burglary reported in Wayne
WAYNE – A burglary incident was reported in the village Thursday.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office was informed of the incident at 4:28 p.m. in the 8000 block of Jerry
City Road.
Items were reported taken from the residence.
Hoytville Council meets
HOYTVILLE – Hoytville Village Council will meet Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the council hall, 2418 S. Main
St.
