High water closes BG road
High water closed Newton Road between Brim and Haskins roads today, which blocked access to and closed
the BG Community Center.
There is no water problem in the building, city officials said. The center will reopen after the road is
reopened.
Ponding water was a problem on other streets in the city but officials said none had been closed.
At Pemberville, Mayor Gordon Bowman reported the Portage River was still two feet below the minimum flood
stage at 9 this morning.
He was encouraged to know that BG’s rainfall Thursday was 0.83-inch and that rainfall at Findlay was less
than 0.50 inch.
ODOT continues pavement repairs
The Ohio Department of Transportation District Two will continue to work on interstate pavement repairs.

Interstate pavement repair will resume today through Sunday, daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. During this
time, intermittent lane and ramps restrictions are possible along the following locations: northbound
I-75 between I-75/475 interchange in Perrysburg and U.S. 20, I-475, between Central Avenue and U. 24,
I-75 between U.S. 6 and Ohio 18, and Route 6 from Henry/Wood County Line to I-75.
Sharing Hands serves free meal
LUCKEY – Sharing Hands will serve a free meal on Monday at the American Legion Post, #240, 335 Park Dr.,
from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
If Eastwood Schools are closed due to inclement weather, the meal will be cancelled.
Carry-out meals are available, as well as home delivered meals to those who live in the Eastwood School
District.

TMACOG to discuss transportation
The Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments will hold a public meeting Monday in Bowling Green
for "On the Move," a 2015-2045 Transportation Plan for the region.
The event will be held at the Holiday Inn Express, 2150 E. Wooster St.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7.
