Car, train crash investigated
At 6:23 a.m. Sunday, Bobby A. Rodriguez, Archbold, drove onto the railroad tracks on Ridge Street and got his car stuck, he told Bowling Green Police.
The vehicle, a 1998 Ford Escort, was then struck by a CSX train heading through town.
Rodriguez was not in the vehicle, and no injuries were reported.
He was cited for operating a vehicle while impaired and reasonable control.
He appeared Wednesday in court on the charges.
The incident is still under investigation.
Perrysburg shifts meetings
PERRYSBURG - Two committees of city council are changing their upcoming meeting times this.
The Personnel Committee originally scheduled for 5 tonight, has been moved to 6 p.m. on Jan. 8.
The Health, Sanitation, and Public Utilities Committee, originally scheduled for 6 tonight, has been moved to 5 p.m.
Conservation board meets Fri.
The Wood Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors will meet Friday at 10 a.m. All meetings are open to the public and are held at the Wood SWCD Office, 1616 E. Wooster St., Suite 32.
Ham supper in Weston Fri.
WESTON - American Legion Post 409, 13180 S. Main St., will hold a ham supper Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.
The donation is $8 and carry-outs are available.
