Legion hosts benefit dinner
WESTON - American Legion Post 409 is holding a benefit auction Friday with all proceed going to families in need for Christmas.
The event starts at 6 p.m.
There will be sandwiches and beverages available for purchase.
The legion is located on Main Street.
Santa visits Milton Center
MILTON CENTER - Santa will be at the Milton Township Fire Hall on Mermill Road on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Visitors are invited to bring their cameras and take pictures.
Child support agency changes business hours
The Wood County Child Support Enforcement Agency, 1940 E. Gypsy Lane Road, has changed its hours to 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Consumers who have traditionally utilized extended hours to make payments will have other options available, including making payments over the phone or mailing payments directly to the Child Support Payment Center.
Anyone with a need to handle child support matters after the regular working hours should contact the agency so accommodations can be made.
The Wood County Child Support Enforcement Agency is authorized to function by the Ohio Revised Code, and operates under the direction of the Board of Wood County Commissioners.
Attempted burglary in Wayne Wed.
WAYNE - An attempted burglary was reported in the village early Wednesday.
The incident was reported at 12:51 a.m. in the 6000 block of Main Street.
According to the Wood County Sheriff's Office, a resident heard an unknown subject break a downstairs window, and then flee.
Board games available at county library
The Wood County District Public Library Children's Place will have board games, cards, and puzzles available and set out Dec. 26-31.
